We can also send Nikah Nama for both partners to sign, if they are not present for Nikah, but prefer an attorney. 

There is no requirement for a wali when performing Nikah in Middle Eastern countries such as the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Iraq, etc. Pakistani marriage laws do not include such a requirement. 

It is not necessary for a Wali to perform Nikah online in Pakistan. The Pakistani Nikah Nama discusses the appointment of representatives on behalf of couples who want to get married.

Documents Required for Online Nikah in Pakistan

To perform nikah online, the following documents are required. 

  • A copy of the bride and groom’s CNIC (or passport)
  • A total of six passport-sized photos.
  • An appointment letter or a letter of permission for Wakeel
  • The CNICs of two witnesses.
  • It is imperative that the first wife approves of the groom’s second marriage.
  • Obtaining a divorce or death certificate for a deceased spouse is necessary if the bride is marrying for a second time.
